For the information of all regulators, customers, employees or other bodies whom this statement will concern.

Terms & Conditions Free Trial Period

Each new prospective student is entitled to a free trial lesson for every subject they wish to trial. This will include in person teaching at the centre of choice for 1 lesson. Additionally, parents will receive a log-in sent to their email, containing a link to create their Parent Portal account. During the 1-week Free Trial Period, parents may use the portal as normal however, will not be able to access the full resources uploaded at this point. Following the end of the 1-week period, the parent will be emailed a reminder if they wish to sign up on a paid basis. Following two more reminders, if the parent does not sign up and select and make a payment through parent portal, their account will be suspended and the student will not be entitled to attend any further classes. During this free trial, the student will not gain access to the entire resources available however, will be able to view the portal dashboard and any other materials provided during the free lesson. Each student is only entitled to one free lesson per subject on their first time.

Payment of Fees

Pyramid International Ltd. reserves the right to adjust the course fee(s) on the Parent Portal or on any other means of transfer or official communication. Any adjustments, will be communicated on the website/portal and will be confirmed to the parents in writing. Price changes will only occur for any upcoming classes where teaching has not yet begun. If there is a price rise, the client will not be asked to pay an additional amount for the class/period if they have already paid the full amount advertised when selecting the course for the relevant period. All payments of fees for the relevant period, must be paid prior to the commencement of a class or relevant due date. If the payment is not made by the due date, and a student continues to attend the class, Pyramid International Ltd. reserve the right to demand full outstanding payment in full immediately before the child is allowed to attend upcoming classes once more. Non-payment of any instalment may result in the pupil being excluded from further classes.

Should a client or their bank either fail to cancel a standing order or cease making payments on the final payment date shown on the standing order, Pyramid International Ltd. will deduct an administration charge of £100.00 from any refund made.

Commencement of Tuition

A child may only attend classes once Pyramid International Ltd. has received the full payment for the tuition period selected together apart from in the case of a free trial lesson.

If Tuition is Terminated

In the event of a child withdrawing from the course before the child’s first paid lesson, a fees equal to 10% of the amount paid would not be refundable, and the remaining will be refunded back to the account from which you have paid. In the event of a child withdrawing from the course part way through the term/year having paid for the full term/year, a full month’s notice (4 lessons) must be provided in advance. Payment for the next 4 lessons (~month) will be taken after which the excess fees for the rest of the term will be refunded. For example, in the case where a Client has paid for the entire year (3 terms) but wishes to terminate in January, the client will not receive a refund for the next 4 lessons worth of prepaid classes, but will receive the excess amount remaining after.

Venue

All teaching will take place at one of our located centres. Pyramid International Ltd reserves the right to change the location of an upcoming class or set of classes (including a move to remote learning) with 2 weeks’ prior notice.

Remote Learning

If social distancing or some similar regulation prevents normal operation at Pyramid International Ltd’s usual location or if it is decided for any reason by Pyramid Learning Ltd, courses will be delivered via remote working. A switch to normal working will be made when the restrictions ease or when Pyramid International Ltd’sdecides it is appropriate to do so. Pupils will be expected to attend tuition weekly at the tuition centres in the class that was booked when they enrolled onto the course. Pyramid International Ltd’saccepts no liability for unforeseen circumstances such as power outages, server down time or the functionality of the website/ Portal.

Group Size

Group sizes will usually be between 3-6 students, unless in an unforeseen circumstance or when a student is joining the lesson as part of a free trial lesson.

Pupil Safety

It is the student’s/parent’s responsibility to ensure they are either collected from or have arranged to make their way home at the end of the lesson. Please ensure as a parent that you have communicated this to your child and have ensured they understand how they will make their way home following the end of the lesson. Parents can wait in the assigned waiting area in or outside of the venue depending on capacity constraints and staff instructions. Pyramid International Ltd and its staff cannot be held responsible for the safety & welfare of any child outside of its teaching premises.

Tutoring

Tutoring will be provided by a Pyramid International Ltd hiredtutor, who would have interviewed at the organisation. Each group will usually be between 3-6 students enrolled on the same course. The tutors shall aim to mark the students’ homework and other tests submitted as per the company’s protocol. Pyramid International Ltd. reserves the right to change the advertised class teacher at any time prior to any upcoming class.

Material

All teaching material is provided during the course and is included in the course fee including the Parent and Student log-ins to parent portal. Materials will be uploaded on to the Portal section of the website, but may or may not be able to be printed/downloaded by the student. The teacher/company may choose to provide a student with printed material during a lesson or may ask the student to reference the material uploaded on to the portal.

Missed Lessons

If a lesson is cancelled by Pyramid International Ltd., for whatever reason, the company will re-arrange the session at a time convenient for the majority of the class and at the earliest possible opportunity. In the event of an occasional temporary schedule clash, we will try to move the child to another class over the course of the same weekend. If a student wishes to move class time, we would require a request to be made well in advance of the proposed new lesson time and the old assigned lesson, and it is in Pyramid International Ltd.’s discretion to allow this change. Students are always welcome to ask questions on their class forum page and the teacher will be able to comment if and when possible to answer any questions.

Homework

Homework is designed to take Students 60 minutes per week on a regular week. The tutors will aim to mark and provide feedback on homework on a regular basis. For additional questions, the student may ask the teacher for additional resources/questions and we will do our best to provide or point you in the right direction. At Pyramid International Ltd. we request students to upload homework through the portal before the next Friday following their class, providing tutors with enough time to mark any homework necessary before the next class if possible. Multiple Choice Quizzes will be made visible on a students’ portal following each class, and the student should complete this before attending the next lesson. The system will automatically mark the quiz when the student submits. Homework marks and attendance will be uploaded onto the portal and will be used for the performance tab on the portal.

Personal Property

All items of personal property are brought onto Pyramid International Ltd’s premises or any premise being used by Pyramid International Ltd entirely at the owner’s risk. Pyramid International Ltd. will not be held responsible nor accept any liability for any loss or damage to any such items, howsoever caused.

Confidentiality

All information provided by our clients is treated as confidential. With a few exceptions, for example information requested by a court, we will not release information to any other party without your consent

Pyramid International Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

Timing of Obligations & All Contracts

For the information of all regulators, customers, employees or other bodies whom this may concern: Pyramid International Ltd consider all financial and non-financial obligations, commitments and periods to run from January 1st through to December 31stand operate on this basis. We are a registered company who operate all agreements on an annual calendar yearly basis for all payments, obligations and other duties to all bodies of care.
